Fundamentals of Project Management
This course is a comprehensive introduction to the many elements of modern project management concepts. Specially designed for people who want to build or increase their skills in project management and who work or are looking to work international development organizations, donor and public institutions, NGOs, non-profit and community-based organizations, Government and donor agencies, and anyone interested in a career in development project management. The course is based on the fourth edition of the textbook Fundamentals of Project Management. The course is three weeks long. Each week presents the activities and exercises required to meet the learning objectives. Participants require an average of one hour per day to complete the assigned activities. The course makes use of a case study to help comprehend and apply the learning material. This e-course promotes and facilitates the collaborative learning approach in online courses where students will participate in discussions as part of the assignments and receive feedback from the course instructor. |
Effective Project ManagementModern project management has been proven to be the most effective method of delivering results within cost, schedule, and resource constraints. In this his course you will learn the management processes required to deliver consistent results in a development project. While development projects are similar in some ways to other types of projects, they pose unique challenges for the managers and organizations that undertake them.
